Flexible Heaters from Thermal Circuits are light, bendable and can
conform to irregular shapes, contours and 3-dimensional patterns.
They are simple to apply, yet are capable of higher output than
traditional metal-clad heaters.

An etched foil design element is the circuitry for Kapton®/Polyimide
heaters. Heaters made with this DuPont(r) thin film are transparent,
lightweight, flexible and are electrically strong. Kapton®/Polyimide
is compatible with foil element alloys as inconel, nickel, copper,
and stainless steel. They have low outgassing properties, are resistant
to solvents and can be produced with special internal adhesive systems
that permit higher operating temperatures. Heat curing film and pressure
sensitive systems are available for mounting. Control and sensing
devices can be incorporated. |

Silicone Rubber is the most versatile rubber based dielectric used
to produce flexible surface heaters. Both etched foil and wire
wound element designs are offered. The application determines the
choice. Fiberglass reinforced Silicone Rubber Heaters are
thin and flexible, durable and have a long shelf life. Etched foil
designs afford more heater size, shape opportunities and enhance
the longevity potential. Supplemental heat distributing and thermal
shielding sheet materials (aluminum and silicone sponge respectively)
are available. Heat curing, pressure sensitive, and mechanical mounting
methods are available |
